We aim to work alongside community partners to advance healthy eating habits, active lifestyles, and healthy community environments for families with limited incomes. We utilize evidence-based strategies with two approaches:

- “Go NAPSACC works with child care providers to improve the health of young children through practices, policies, and environments that instill habits supporting lifelong health and well-being. We offer modules on key topics like healthy eating, physical activity, and oral health.”
- Healthy Schools
- Supporting schools in creating, assessing, and implementing wellness policies as well as initiatives to support healthy environments for district families.
- Support Farm to School efforts and Improving School Meal Appeal and Environments!
- School Garden funding, programming, and sustainability.
- Harvest Of The Month:
- “Our statewide campaign for schools provides promotion, education and media resources to encourage kids and families to eat more fruits and vegetables.”
- Growing Together:
- “The Growing Together WI project is working towards improved food security, safety and health for FoodShare eligible participants in Wisconsin. Growing Together WI encourages collaboration between FoodWIse education staff and Master Gardener Volunteers to promote healthy food access and availability through garden spaces. This collaborative effort can take place in a variety of ways such as development and maintenance of community garden spaces for limited income audiences, garden produce donations to food pantries, and teaching limited income audiences how to grow their own food. Together we can make a difference!”

- We offer farmers’ market tours for eligible audiences to encourage usage of vouchers, EBT, and purchasing local healthy foods.

- Discover Wisconsin Farmers’ Markets
- This site provides free recipes and handouts that can be printed as a resource to markets to help nudge customers to try new foods .
- EBT/SNAP and Senior/WIC Farmers’ Market Vouchers
- We work with various partners to promote the utilization of these programs to audiences with limited income. We will also work to support markets and farmers’ in their efforts to offer food benefits, as they are essential elements in making the healthy choice the easy choice in our communities.
